In early 2023 we produced a special project for ROA Hiking which resulted in a handsome little volume. We are pleased to offer an extremely limited number of copies of this very hard-to-get book.

ROA Resource Research Volume 1 is the first in a series documenting the relationships formed through human coexistence with the natural world.

Featuring photographs by Ransom photographer Parker Fitzgerald, RRR1 covers environmental conservation within grassroots communities, focusing on two distinct stories in Japan. Noyaki⏤the ceremonial burning of ancestral grasslands on the isle of Kyushu; and Kishu Ann⏤an auberge in rural Isumi creating a circular dialogue between local producers and visitors to the region.

ROA is an italian footwear brand focused on the dialogue between urban and natural landscapes.
